The Old Dairy Self Catering Cottage - Sleeps Two

Stairs lead to the entrance on the first floor which has an open plan living/dining area. The recently re-fitted kitchen includes a full size electric cooker, a washing machine, microwave and fridge with ice-box. The living room is brightly furnished and includes a flat screen digital TV, coal effect electric stove and night storage heater. There is a balcony giving views of Loch Melfort and the surrounding hills.

The bedroom is downstairs. It is comfortably furnished with a double bed and is heated by an electric radiator. The newly refurbished shower room leads off the bedroom and has an electric shower, WC, washbasin and heated towel rail.

Non Smoking

One well behaved dog is welcome by prior arrangement.

Directions

Kilmelford is situated on the A816, 15 miles south of Oban and 20 miles north of Lochgilphead. If coming via Oban, take the A816 to Kilmelford. Half a mile after passing the hotel and Post Office in the village centre, turn right on the road that runs alongside Loch Melfort. (Signposted Melfort and Degnish). After a mile and a half, you will see a row of white cottages on the right, just before the bridge over the little river. Turn right down the farm track immediately beside these cottages. In 50 metres you reach Fearnach House, with Old Dairy Cottage adjoining. If coming from the south, take the A816 through Lochgilphead. After 20 miles, just before reaching Kilmelford itself, look out for the 30 mph sign, and turn left immediately after this on to the Melfort/ Degnish road alongside Loch Melfort. It is possible to park in the drive outside the cottage.
